The Hummingbird
Her Medicine of Joy
The hummingbird carries the medicine of joy.
Though tiny in size, she holds an immense life force. She moves with extraordinary precision and lightness, reminding us that life does not always have to be carried with heaviness. Sometimes we are invited to soften, to open our hearts, and to remember the sweetness that is already here.
Drinking from the Nectar of Life
The hummingbird teaches us to drink deeply from the nectar of life — to recognize beauty, love, music, nature and the simple moments that bring the soul alive.
She reminds us:
Joy is sacred.
Beauty is medicine.
The heart knows what nourishes it.
The Wisdom of Discernment
The hummingbird also teaches discernment.
She seeks only what truly nourishes her. In the same way, we are invited to become conscious of what we allow into our inner world. What do we feed our hearts with? What energies do we welcome into our sacred space? And what no longer belongs there?
Guarding Your Sacred Space
Protecting your sacred space does not mean closing your heart.
It means honoring it.
It means knowing that your energy, your attention and your heart are precious. You are allowed to choose what enters your field, what you give your life force to, and what you gently leave behind.
The Wisdom of the Ancestors
The hummingbird carries a deep connection to ancient wisdom and the wisdom of those who came before us. She reminds us that ancestral wisdom can live within us as something remembered rather than something learned — a quiet knowing carried through the generations.
A Messenger of Movement
She is also a messenger of movement and possibility.
The hummingbird can move in every direction, even remaining seemingly still while her wings move with extraordinary speed. Her medicine reminds us that we are not always required to move in a straight line. We may change direction. We may pause. We may move forward, backward, upward or inward.
We are free to follow what calls our heart.
The Way to Beauty
The hummingbird knows the way to beauty.
She moves from flower to flower, receiving the nectar and, in doing so, helping life itself to continue blooming.
So too, when we live from an open and nourished heart, our joy becomes medicine for others.
We brighten the space around us.
We awaken beauty.
We remind one another that life is meant to be tasted, felt and lived.
The Questions of the Hummingbird
The hummingbird asks you:
What brings your heart alive?
What truly nourishes your spirit?
What belongs inside your sacred space?
And where have you forgotten the sweetness of being alive?
Follow Her into Joy
Follow her into joy.
Let your spirit become light.
Drink from the nectar of this life.
And remember:
Joy is not a distraction from the sacred.
Joy is one of its most beautiful expressions.
That is the medicine of the Hummingbird.
